ISBN 978-0-98828-584-2

This exciting adventure begins in the USA - at a private bank in Beverley Hills where Lexi acts as investigator of frauds.   She has a chequered past and is grateful for this job so she agrees reluctantly to go to Sumatra to investigate a case for an important private client of the bank.  She is accompanied by the son of the bank's owner, Steve, who is a neophyte at the investigating business.  The case is to find out whether the client's daughter, Karista, has gone willingly to Sumatra with her boyfriend or has been kidnapped.

On their arrival in Sumatra they find Karista at a very comfortable hotel  apparently well but they still feel doubtful about her boyfriend.   Lexi finds that Andre, a figure from her past, is also at the hotel and is doubtful about his intentions towards her.   The beauty of the island and some of the alien attitudes of its inhabitants jostle for attention with problems over stolen luggage, false passports, credit cards frauds and violent guards.  Experiences during a jungle sojourn include a confrontation with native inhabitants.   This is an action thriller which excites the reader and reaches a final dramatic confrontation.

Jennifer Palmer Throughout my reading life crime fiction has been a constant interest; I really enjoyed my 15 years as an expatriate in the Far East, the Netherlands & the USA but occasionally the solace of closing my door to the outside world and sitting reading was highly therapeutic. I now lecture to adults on historical topics including Famous Historical Mysteries.
